Each call is hand-tuned to emulate a mature whitetail buck. The custom bellow tube is selected and developed through research and testing, offering the ability to articulate many nuanced tones. This call represents top-tier quality in both components and craftsmanship. Inspired by tone boards in duck calls, the foundation of the call is a one piece toneboard made from machined acrylic coupled with a barrel made of Teak. Teak is naturally durable with its high oil content that resists rot and moisture creating a remarkably stable wood even in the harshest conditions. Every meticulously machined part is assembled in Washington state at the Phelps headquarters. We work with American manufacturing partners to allow for quick response time, fine-tuning every detail of our deer calls. From the barrel to the toneboard, and even the mylar reed, every nuance is accounted for—including a specialized rivet in the reed that adds momentum and prevents lock-ups due to condensation.

The result of this obsessive attention to detail? Buttery-smooth, realistic buck grunt vocalizations that can coax in bucks of all ages for a closer look.
