fell apart

Pulled it from my day pack and the read housing had fallen from the wood. Tried putting it back together, just haven't gotten it right. Can't use it until I get it lined up properly. If I can get the reed inserted correctly in to the mouth piece, is it OK to glue the holder into the wood?
