Inner piece doesn't fit in the tube

This just arrived. The rubber inner piece which should fit inside the call looks like it was awkwardly jammed into place, so it now doesn't fit inside where it should. I'm sure it works if i could get it to fit, but for $60 cad, this is not quality. I'll keep working away at it, but I'll likely have to return it
