The AMP grey elk diaphragm is a great all-around call with excellent volume. This is a single reed that produces medium to mature cow sounds, along with producing medium to large bull sounds.

great call

I bought the grey amp and several other calls from Phelps this season. The grey amp is my new go to call. Much easier to use than my previous brand and it makes great cow calls too. I can't lip bawl as well with this call but maybe it's just me. I'll be trying other amp calls to see if I can find the perfect fit but this one is awesome!

The AMP Grey Elk Diaphragm from Phelps is my #1 go to Call. Over the last 2 Seasons in Eastern Oregon I have been able to call in over 30 Elk. 22 of which were bulls the rest were a mix of cows and spikes. I was able to call bulls up from the bottom of a canyon approximately 1000ft lower in elevation (per onX). I don't have to switch between calls or other diaphragms. I'm able to make soft calf cow mews and then turn it up to a growl/bugle and everything else in between. Hands down the best $10 bucks spent on Elk hunting. You can have the most expensive bow hunting gear but if you can't ""get em close"" first then literally all of the other hunting gear you buy becomes worthless pack weight you have to carry around the mountains. This needs to be the first purchase for anyone every season. I'll blow through at least 3 of these per season. My favorite piece of kit. Thank you for making a great product!
