METAL Bugle Tube

Aluminum Construction

Sale price$69.99
Color:Conifer
Quantity:

Manufactured as a one-piece aluminum bugle tube, the Phelps METAL balances the elk hunters' demand for a weight-conscious, compact design and the ability to project loud, crisp calls. The aluminum construction provides more sound than plastic and is engineered to meet the frequency of bull elk. With the option of our interchangeable flared or the external mouthpiece, all levels of calling ability are covered. The bugle has been sandblasted, anodized black, and wrapped in a closed-cell neoprene sleeve to eliminate glare and unwanted noise.

The interchangeable EZ Bugler external mouthpiece utilizes our AMP frame and offers anyone the option to work and produce realistic chuckles and grunts, no matter their calling level. requires its own unique reeds and replacement gaskets (mouthpiece comes with one of each, but we encourage folk to purchase replacement parts in case the gasket becomes lost or the reeds start to lose their crisp sound after extended use).

All METAL Bugle Tubes come with the standard Flared and interchangeable EZ Bugler Mouthpieces.

Specs:

EZBUGLER: 16 oz, 20.5" length, 3.25" diameter

FLARED: 15 oz, 19" length, 3.25" diameter

Does not include lanyard, but is pre-drilled for installation.

U.S. Patent No. 11076592, see https://phelpsgamecalls.com/pages/phelps-patents.

Not worth the price or weight penalty

I was intrigued to try it as reviews and other mentioned how good it was. Sound quality was 4 star ok but volume and tone was disappointing. upper notes are great but forget about lower notes or lip balming/grunting. I tested it directly against the Renegade tube in a small contained room. I audio recorded several bugles/calls with each tube and the results were drastically in favor of the Renegade. Mid/High range was a toss up. The metal may have had a slight advantage on the top end but the Renegade dominated the lower registers. Sadly the metal is also HEAVY! It's twice the weight of my go-to Slayer bugle tube. The weight might have been worth it had the sound quality been distinctively better in all areas.

High Quality

I used this bugle on a recent September bull hunt in Oregon with fantastic results. Volume is superior when compared to plastic tubes, and the sound is robust and carries well in open country and dark timber.

I could not speak anymore highly on this product!!!

I bought the bugle tube the week before my big trip, and I had my buddies all wondering where they could get their hands on one, it is so easy to master with the ez bugler. Thanks to the guys at Phelps!!!!!!!!

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy

Going elk hunting in CO first time this year for 1st rifle season. This thing is a godsend! Got the metal bugle with the external ez bugler and been ripping bugles to/from work everyday in the truck. Its awesome, sounds great. Still practicing mouth calls with another bugle from Phelps but to start off with this seems like training wheels to get your feet wet. Highly recommended.
